The paper introduces a new tool for replacing the core of screw base fuse. Lever principle is skill-fully used to overcome the difficulty that the ceramic cap can not be unscrewed due to the increased friction force coming from expansion between screw thread caused by high temperature when the core is fused. The paper conducts comparative analysis in terms of work procedure, work time and hazardous point control, by which the advantages of the tool is fully displayed.
