The paper briefly introduces dielectric test philosophy of transformer winding. Aiming at the field measured dielectric loss of windings of three newly-installed 110 kV transformers is 130 percent larger than the default data, the paper analyzes the causes for overlarge dielectric loss by comparative analysis and combing the experience in field test. In addition, the paper puts forward specific suggestions for judgment. The operating condition of the transformer shows that the judgment is reasonable and effective.
