Based on the analysis of the virtues and defects of the gas drifter and the mechanical drifter ,this paper puts forward the concepts of the mechanical double working-position steel pipe drifter .The work principle of the double working-position steel pipe drifter is expounded ,and the device of drift bar and its auxiliary ,the drift bar drive device ,the drift bar and steel pipe support device ,the steel pipe clamp device are introduced in detail .This article provides some reference for the design of the mechanical double working-position steel pipe drifter .
