The paper introduces the principle,procedure,and precautions for danger identification with the dangerous umbrella graphic method. With the crane wind damage accident as the study object,the analysis for each dangerous point of the wind damage accidents is performed with the procedures of judging the item accident,building the dangerous umbrella for item accident,and figuring out the steps for sub-accidents,and in the end the dangerous umbrella graph for crane wind damage accident is built. This graph and danger identification process will provide theoretic foundation and reference for crane safety management and precaution of wind accidents.
