随着经济全球化，我国高职院校逐渐开始重视专门用途英语（ESP，也称专业英语）教学。我国高职院校的专业英语课程应是培养学生在工作环境中对英语的实际应用能力，但是，专业英语教学中存在诸多问题。本文针对高职院校专业英语教学存在的问题，进行了原因分析，提出了课程教学改革的基本思路，拟对广大高职院校及教师如何开展专业英语教学能够起到抛砖引玉的作用，最终实现高职院校为社会培养高素质专门人才的目标。

Along with the globalization of economy, the higher vocational colleges in our country gradually began to pay at-tention to specialty English (ESP, also known as professional English). The aim of professional English course in higher voca-tional colleges is to improve students' practical English abilities in the work. However, there are many problems in the area at present. According to these questions, the essay analyzes the reasons and puts forward some basic reform ideas, so as to learn those English teachers in higher vocational colleges how to carry out their professional English teaching work, and then to achieve the final teaching goal, which is to train high-quality talents for the society.
