The types of new fiber materials could be roughly divided into natural fiber, regenerated fiber, differential fiber, functional fiber and high-performance fiber. Reviews on the development of these fibers were summarized. And the applications of several new types of green environmental fibers, functional fibers and high-performance fibers were introduced.
