唐代是我国古代民族观发展演变的一个重要时期,也是古代进步民族观形成和完善的重要时期。这一时期从最高统治者到思想家、文学家、史学家、一般士人都表达了他们的民族观,为解决当时纷繁复杂的民族问题提供了多方面的理论方案。陈黯的《华心》是一篇很有代表性的文章。笔者认为,《华心》民族观的主要内容包括三个方面：一是华夷概念外延的扩大;二是民族认同意识的探究;三是＂以华为心＂的价值取向。《华心》民族观产生的背景有三个方面：＂夷夏之辨＂思想的抬头,民族融合的现实,经济文化的繁荣。《华心》民族观对唐后期的民族思想和民族政策产生了一定的影响。

In terms of ancient ethnologic views,the Tang Dynasty played an important role not only in its development and evolution but also in its formation and completion,in which various ethnologic views were expressed throughout the hierarchy of rulers,thinkers,literates,historians and average scholars so as to offer multiple theoretical options of solving the existing complicated ethnic problems.As a representative article in this field,the author believes,Hua'xin(literally The Heart of China) by Chen An covered two aspects as its main content: the extension of the concept of Hua(mainly Han Chinese) and Yi(non-Han Chinese);study of the consciousness of ethnic recognition;and value of "Hua as the center".Ethnologic views in Hua'xin rooted in three fields: rise of the thought of "distinguish between Hua and Yi",fact of the ethnic integrations,and prosperity of economy and culture.The views also deeply influenced ethnologic thoughts and policies in later Tang Dynasty.
