This paper has emphasis on the comparison of the function and applications of several typi-cal thermal-hydraulic analysis codes, and points out the characteristics of the conservative estimation method and best estimation method and differences between the two methods. The applications and significance of the coupling with the thermal-hydraulic analysis codes, core physics codes and computational fluid dynamics codes have also been described. At last, the status and development of thermal-hydraulic analysis code in China are analyzed.
