The methodology of phenol synthesis via direct oxidation of benzene was one of the most challenging issues in organic synthesis.A variety of reaction systems both at home and abroad were summarized in recent decade,which used H 2 O 2 and O 2 as a green oxidant for one-step method of benzene oxidation hydroxylation.The methods were reviewed and the trend was prospected.
