As to the current status of the quality inspection of the appearance of the lattice apron for the compact spinning use and the problems herewith, the quality inspection method is probed into with the im- age technology. Details analysis is done to the layout of the inspection system,the realization of the hard- ware and the software. It is pointed out that the image-based quality inspection method of the external ap- pearance of the lattice apron for the compact spinning use fins the solution to the problem of the hard se- peration of the apertures in the image process of the lattice apron,and does some calculation and demarca- tion of the size,form and evenness of the aperture,thus for information of the objective appraising the ap- pearance quality of the lattice apron.
