Based theoretically on the "Input Hypothesis" of SLA and practically on the research and proof by language scholars at home and abroad, this paper analyses the positive roles that recitation plays in SLA. The author introduces some ways of putting recitation strategy into effective use in SLA on the basis of her own language teaching and learning experience.
