SNMP的概念在上世纪末被提出，随着计算机和网络技术的不断发展，以及人们对网络应用环境要求的提高，伴随SNMP研究的逐步深入，同时也被更广泛地运用到实际中来．系统介绍SNMP研究内容的发展、应用算法的改进以及国内外研究动态，明确SNMP所面临的问题，探讨其未来的发展方向，为SNMP研究提供参考．

The concept of SNMP was put forward at the end of last century. With developing of computer and network techonlogy and increasing go requirement on improving network application environment, SNMP has been studied more and more in order to practice SNMP. Variation of contents of SNMP, the improvement of SNMP and the state of SNMP are studied in this paper. Furthermore, the problems are pointed out for refer-ence.
