The development of energy-saving, environmental and new energy vehicles has become the only way to make a snstainable development of global auto industry and also represents the development trend of vehicle in the future. However, national policies will exert great influence on the rapid development and market initiation of automobile. The paper summarizes the current policies and regulations of energy conservation and new energy vehicle in China, aiming to provide guidelines and for the green development and planning of Chinese automobile OEMs. Through analyzing policies and regulations, the paper points out those self-owned brands should seize opportunities anti accelerate independent innovation so as to actively promote the sound and rapid development of" energy conset'vation and new energy vehicle.
