This paper is mainly talking about the recognition of the pulse wave’s extreme point, and puts forward a new algo?rithm based on the extreme point of the second derivative which corresponds to the inflection point of the original pulse wave ,It elaborates the algorithm principle and compares the new algorithm and the traditional extreme value method for the original wave .The practice has proved that the new is more accurate and its error is smaller.
