老子思想的基石是道,老子道立则老子思想立,老子道不能立则老子思想难以立。老子道所以立,是有其充分的根据和合乎逻辑的论理方法的。老子从天地自然、圣人楷模、生命万物、人生经验、政治经验、侯王之治、典籍和神等八个方面论证或提取他的抽象的道,可谓立论稳妥。说古人立论而不论,是没有道理的。

노자사상적기석시도,노자도립칙노자사상립,노자도불능립칙노자사상난이립。노자도소이립,시유기충분적근거화합호라집적론리방법적。노자종천지자연、골인해모、생명만물、인생경험、정치경험、후왕지치、전적화신등팔개방면론증혹제취타적추상적도,가위립론은타。설고인립론이불론,시몰유도리적。
The foundation of Lao-tzu's thoughts is Tao.His thoughts are right as long as Tao is right.On the contrary,if Tao is not right,then his thoughts can't be right.His Tao is right just because that there is sufficient basis and logical method.Lao-tzu demonstrates it from eight aspects,which includes nature,Saint model,all lives,life experience,political experience,rule of the nobility,ancient books and records and gods.We can see that he concludes reasonably.There is no reason to say that the ancient set up a theory but didn't demonstrate it.
