工匠义常用词是汉语史上从古至今一直存在的一类词,其核心词＂人＂、＂工＂、＂匠＂、＂师＂及其作为词根不同时期构成新词的数量和能力,反映出书面语中,上古用＂人＂,中古用＂工＂,近代用＂匠＂;口语中,上古以＂人＂为主,中古早期以＂师＂为主,中古后期＂师＂、＂匠＂共用,近代＂匠＂脱颖而出。从上古到中古、从中古到近代,其间当有新旧质素共存竞争的过渡时期,两汉两宋承担了这一任务。

The everyday vocabularies with the meaning of craftsman have been commonly used in Chinese history.The core words ren,gong,jiang,shi and to be used as the roots in different periods with the quantity and ability to form new words reflected that : in written language,in ancient times used of ren,in mediaeval times used of gong,and in modern times used of jiang;in oral language,in ancient times mostly used of ren,in the early mediaeval times mostly used of shi,in the late mediaeval times used of shi and jiang,and in modern times jiang became outstanding.From ancient times to mediaeval times,mediaeval to modern times,in which there should be the old and the new quality of coexistence of competing transition period,Han Dynasty and Song Dynasty took this mission together.
