    A multi-modal acoustic resonator, long T-shaped acoustic resonator used for noise control in the low and middle frequency range, is introduced, including its design methodology, control mechanism, and control effectiveness. Successful preliminary study of ship noise control by using T-shaped acoustic resonators is also demonstrated.
