冬青叶鼠刺成年植株周围实生幼苗较少，将其种子在实验室进行萌发试验，初步探究其萌发特性。结果表明，当年成熟种子在25℃度的恒温培养箱中第5天开始发芽，13天发芽结束，不同个体间发芽率差异较大，最高可达91．40％，最低26．75％；同批次种子存放0、6和12个月后，发芽率分别为91．40％、52．31％和19．78％，发芽指数为61．5、31．29和9．67；不同浓度的H202、Na2Se03、CuS04、KMn04和H。B03试剂处理种子后，对该树种子萌发无促进作用；不同样地植株的种子活力有差异。
