According to the metrorail construction characteristics and the overall situation of its surrounding areas, the article introduced the main methods and steps of station traffic organization during metrorail transit construction, and with the station of Dongfanghong Square of Lanzhou Metro Line 1as the case, it proposed two traffic organization plans in combination with the surrounding land use and regional traffic analysis of such station, and conducted the plan comparison and selection by using the traffic simulation software.
