The different grounds on performance of large earthing grid and common grounding device are analyzed. Then the limitation of conventional method of measuring grounding for lightning is introduced. In the end, a reasonable method of measuring grounding for lightning according to the place including large earthing grid in terms of testing instrument and principle is proposed by applying the relevant technical specifications.
