路基是公路的主体，它贯穿公路全线并与沿线的桥梁、隧道和涵洞等相连接。路基是路面的基础，路面靠路基来支承，没有稳固的路基就没有优良的路面。因此如何做出高质量路基是修筑出高质量公路之关键。随着我国的迅速崛起，公路建设日新月异，对公路的整体要求也越来越高，控制路基施工质量也成为公路工程施工的重中之重了。
