加强大学生对党的政治认同的培育是高校党建工作的重点，思想政治理论课是培育高校学生对党的政治认同的主渠道、主阵地，必须以培育学生对党的政治认同为教育目标，加强思想政治理论课的内涵建设，并构建思想政治理论课与党校、党团组织以及其他相关职能部门的联动机制，形成培育合力。
