The hydraulic shovel noise has directly effects on the whole comfort and it is one of the key obstacles for the machine to enter European market. This article analyzes the hydraulic shovel noise source and the formation mechanism. By spectrum analysis and test, the noise source is recognized and positioned. Treatment measures are provided according to different noise sources. Test result shows that the outside radiation noise of a hydraulic shovel is reduced by 3.7dB (A), proving the effect of this method.
