The present research aims to find out (1) What is the present situation of listening strategy use in vocational colleges? (2) How does the listening strategy training affect listening achievements on control class and experimental class? 169 students from Clinical Medicine Department in Grade 2011 from Liuzhou Medical College located in Guangxi participate in the research. The results show:(1)The listening strategies use frequency of surveyed students is low and the use of nota-taking strategy is better than that of selective attention strategy. Moreover, the awareness of strategy use is somewhat weak.(2)Listening strategy training can greatly improve the listening achievements of the low-proficiency students, while the effect to the intermediate group ranks in the second place, followed by the high-proficiency group.
