This paper introduces the construction technology of breakwater for Adipala Power Plant, Central Java, Indonesia, analyzes the hydrologic characteristics of the open Indian Ocean, expounds the significance of the plane pattern and hydraulic characteristics of the breakwater on the construction technology, ship and machine arrangement, as well as protection of breakwater head, discusses the effective mode of breakwater construction under high-frequency and strong wave in the Indian Ocean. The result may serve as reference for similar projects.
