对如何提高大学英语教学效果进行讨论。分析影响大学英语教学效果的两种因素：教师方面，大学教师自身素质、多元化的教学方法以及科学性教学目标是重要因素；大学生方面，学习兴趣、学习动机是影响学习效果的重要因素。为此，提高大学英语教学效果可以从五个方面着手：即提高大学英语教师的素质，制定科学合理的教学目标，营造轻松愉快的教学氛围，激发学生的英语学习兴趣，强化学生的英语学习动机。

This paper discusses improvement of teaching effects in University , and analyzes two factors including the teachers and students which influence the teaching effects .From teachers' aspect ,individual quality ,diversity of teaching methods and scientific teaching goals are important factors . Form students' aspect , learning interests , learning motivation both are playing an important role in teaching effects .Therefore , in order to enhance the teaching effects , there are five aspects that should be improved which are quality of English teachers ,scientific and reasonable teaching goals ,a pleasant teaching atmosphere ,students' interests and students' learning motivation .
