This paper introduces a new method of CVT (Capacitor Voltage Transformer) field testing,and discusses its working principle and field application in detail. It laid a long-term trial running with new devices built in this technology summarized some problems during the trial in the field, and brought up some solutions for them. In the future development of this technique a theoretical basis and practical data are provided.
