儿童本位理念是杜威实用主义教育思想的重要组成部分，是小学语文教科书编写的重要理论依据。学校教育应充分做到以儿童为中心，学校提供给学生学习的材料应能够满足学生的需要、引起学生的兴趣。《开明国语课本》选入了大量儿童视角、符合儿童年龄和儿童心理的儿童文学作品，很好地体现了儿童本位的理念。

The children-centered concept is an important part of Dewey's thought of pragmatist education. This theory is an important theoretical basis of primary school Chinese textbooks. In light of this viewpoint, our school education should be centered on children. The study materials that schools provide should be able to meet the needs of students and arouse their interest. The Kaiming Mandarin Textbook contains a large quantity of children's literature in compliance with children's features and psychological characteristics. This textbook was a good example of the children-centered concept.
