Highway subgrade must have enough strength, stability and durability. Subgrade compaction degree is the most important index to detect the compaction quality of the subgrade. Sand compaction method is the most widely used compaction degree detection method in highway construction, but in the actual detection, larger error can happen. Therefore, this article discusses on controlling highway subgrade quality with sand compaction method from several aspects.
