Re-viewing Tao Xingzhi's"Life is education"theory and understand-ing its rich connotation and practical meaning are of great guiding and significance towards the current development of school edu-cation. In the new period, school education should regard the student as subject, and enhance students' life ability in a com-prehensive way.
