磁致伸缩式导波检测传感器(MsS)作为一种新型的超声波检测装置可应用于管道的健康监测,但其较低的能量转换效率却限制了其进一步的应用。为提高MsS能量转换效率,从偏置磁场均匀性角度出发,分析了偏置磁场均匀性对传感器输出特性的影响。采用有限元方法分析磁化装置个数与放置方式对管道内部磁场分布状况的影响,分析表明,适当增加磁化装置个数可以有效提高偏置磁场的均匀性;同时在磁场装置个数一定时,均布的放置方式将有助于形成均匀的偏置磁场。以有限元计算结论为基础,理论推导了偏置磁场与检测效率的关系,并通过实验研究揭示了磁场分布不均匀性对MsS输出的影响。通过改善偏置磁场的均匀性可以有效地提高磁致伸缩导波传感器的检测效率。

Magnetostrictive waveguide sensor (MsS)is a new generation of ultrasonic detector applied in structural health monitoring(SHM)of pipelines.However,its further application is restricted by a lower signal to noise ratio (SNR).In order to improve theSNR of MsS,the effect of homogeneous bias magnetic field on output characteristics of the sensor is analyzed based on homogeneityof the field.Moreover,impacts of the number and placement of magnetization devices on the magnetic field distribution in pipelinesare analyzed using Finite Element Method (FEM).The analysis results show that properly increasing the number of magnetizationdevices can help effectively improve the homogeneity of bias magnetic field;when a certain number of magnetization devices arefixed,uniform placement of the devices is favorable for generating a homogeneous magnetic field.Based on FEManalysis results,theoretical derivation of relationship between the bias magnetic field and detection efficiency is also presented.Meanwhile,the effectof inhomogeneity of magnetic field on the output of MsS is investigated and discovered through experiments.The research results in-dicate that the SNR of MsS can be effectively improved by enhancing the homogeneity of bias magnetic field.
