A model for infectious diseases with two infective stages was proposed and analyzed .Dynamical behav-iors of the disease-free equilibrium and the endemic equilibrium for the model with constant vaccination were dis -cussed, respectively.The basic reproduction number which determines whether there is an epidemic or not was ob -tained.
