该区煤层形成于石炭二叠系,煤层分布主要受古地理及沉积环境、断层褶皱构造以及岩浆活动影响。潮坪和三角洲相沉积体系决定了本区煤层厚而稳定,多可采,具有低灰、低磷、低硫特点;煤层分布于永城复背斜两翼的次级构造中,断层切割形成的坳陷使煤层得以保存,为井田划分依据,隆起区煤层则遭到剥蚀;而燕山期的岩浆侵入作用使煤层局部变质为天然焦或焦岩混合物。
該區煤層形成于石炭二疊繫,煤層分佈主要受古地理及沉積環境、斷層褶皺構造以及巖漿活動影響。潮坪和三角洲相沉積體繫決定瞭本區煤層厚而穩定,多可採,具有低灰、低燐、低硫特點;煤層分佈于永城複揹斜兩翼的次級構造中,斷層切割形成的坳陷使煤層得以保存,為井田劃分依據,隆起區煤層則遭到剝蝕;而燕山期的巖漿侵入作用使煤層跼部變質為天然焦或焦巖混閤物。

The coal seam of the study area formed in the Carboniferous and Permian ,coal seam distribution is mainly affected by the paleogeographic and sedimentary environment ,fold fault and magmatic activity .Tidal flat and delta depositional system determines the thick coal seam and stability .The coal is many mining ,with low ash ,low phosphorus and low sulfur .The coal seam located in the secondary structure of Yongcheng's anticlinorium wings .The coal canbe preserved for the formation of faults cutting depression , as the basis of field dividing .The coal seam in theupliftareahasbeenworn away .But since the magmatism at yanshanperiod ,the coal was turned into the natural focal or the mixture of natural focal and rock .
