In this paper, we proposed an instructional design for the teaching on the concept of the differential. First,we give a simple question. In the process of seeking the answer to the question we lead the students to naturally self-construct the con-cept of the differential and differential derivation algorithm. By application of this design, we find that the students can better understand the concept of the differential. Thus we achieve the purpose of enhancing the teaching effectiveness.
