Description was made to the basic working principal of spare automatic device. Combined with application situation of the small resistance grounding method of Beilun power network, this paper analyzed the spare automation device operation characteristics and working principle, summarizing impacts of two kinds of small resistance grounding methods on spare automatic device operation and determining the main transformer of power supply to be in Y/Δ wiring and grounding transformer to be directly connected to the lead of main transformerΔwinding, of which its neutral point via small resistance grounding method was more reasonable grounding method, so as to effectively lift power network power supply reliability.
