    This paper expounds the definition and types of OA and the benefits of OA to medical college libraries, and based on the investigation on the cognition and demand of OA of the readers in medical colleges of Guizhou Province, puts forward some suggestions on the construction of OA resources in medical colleges of Guizhou Province.
