The temperature of semi-purified hot fed BFG is 600~700 ℃, which should be lowered to below 250 ℃ to meet the requirement of dust bag filters. As a dry cooling de-vice, blast furnace gas evaporative cooling tower sprays atomized cooling water into the cooling tower through double-flow nozzle, to rapidly reduce the temperature of gas by the latent heat of water vaporization and at the same tine reduce the dust concentration in gas. This paper introduces the principle and system composition of evaporative cooling tower, carries out de-signing calculation for an evaporative cooling tower project and draw up relevant conclusions.
