针对船舶压舱水采样工作，提出了需要设计科学、结构简单、携带方便、结实耐用、应用灵活、适应性强，无需要自带电源，能准确定位并采集到预定深度压舱水的采样器的思路，为进一步设计制作船舶压舱水采样器提供借鉴。

The research progress in the different environmental monitoring water samplers and ship’s ballast water samplers was summarized in respect to their structures, operational principles, functions and advantages and disadvantages. To meet the aim of ship’s ballast water sampling, it is advised to design a special sampler. The sampler should be simples, portable, durable and flexible in structure and should have no need for power. The sampler should be able to accurately locate the depth and collect water sample in an attemted depth.
