Forming defects, such as wrinkle, crosssectional distortion and sidewal thickness change resulting from the stamping forming has influence on the quality of products. The finite element analysis solfware is used to simulate the sheet stamping forming of curved steel girder for railway carriage. The forming limit diagram and sidewal thickness distribution are obtained under different friction factor and stamping speed. The results can be used for the curved steel girder design and its forming process analysis.
