随着中国经济的飞速发展，医疗条件的改善，人均寿命的不断延长，人口老龄化的发展趋势也越来越不可逆转。现社会越来越重视广大老年人的生活质量和生命质量，力求提高这一群体的整体健康水平。所以加强老年保健工作，让更多老年人能够更好地安度晚年已经成为我国研究探讨的重要问题。本文阐述了应以医院为中心，培养一批高素质的医护人员承担起指导和具体实施的工作，做好以社区为单位的老年人基础医疗保健工作。做好生理保健的同时，也要做好心理保健。以社区与家庭护理结合的方式来为老年人身心健康努力。
