做好贫困生认定工作是高校开展资助工作的基础和前提，由于常用的贫困生认定方法存在可信度低、耗时长、工作量大等弊端，有必要构建贫困生认定指标体系，研发贫困生认定标准化测评系统，规范贫困生认定程序。贫困生认定指标体系的构建，建议依认定标准进行细分量化，找出不同生源地区、不同院系、不同专业的困难学生及其家庭的共同点，制定具有代表性又便于核实的定性和定量指标，通过衡量学生及其家庭情况与各项指标的符合程度，认定学生是否为贫困生以及贫困的程度。
