介绍了合成气合成乙二醇技术进展,包括乙烯合成法、合成气直接合成法、合成气氧化偶联法(草酸酯法)和甲醇/甲醛法。其中乙烯法工艺技术成熟,合成气氧化偶合法有待提高其经济性。其它合成气合成乙二醇路线仍有很多技术难点尚未攻克。在比较不同工艺路线的同时,从现有的经济技术出发,提出了大力发展合成气偶联法(草酸酯法)和甲醇/甲醛法的思路。

Recent progresses on the conversion of syngas to ethylene glycol , including synthesis by ethylene , direct synthesis by syngas , coupled oxidation of syngas and synthesis by methanol and formaldehyde were introduced .Among these synthesizing routes , the synthesis by ethylene was widely investigated.Coupled oxidation of syngas was proven to enhance its economy.Other routes on the conversion of syngas to ethylene glycol still had a lot of technology difficulties to overcome.Based on the comparison of various synthesizing routes , it was suggested that the routes using methanol and formaldehyde or oxalate as intermediums should be developed according to the recent economical and technological conditions.
