The development process of high -rate anaerobic bioreactor was reviewed , which showed that the upgrading of anaerobic bioreactor was related to the improving of flow pattern.The current study of flow pattern of anaerobic bioreactor showed that both numerical simulation and experiment simulation were used to study the anaerobic reactor flow pattern.Several typical anaerobic bioreactor flow pattern characteristics were described , which indicated that dispersion number D/uL can be used as an important flow pattern characteristic parameters of anaerobic bioreactor , and the higher the reactor load was , the greater the D/uL value was obtained.
