The implementing calorimetric method to measure the consumption and efficiency is represented in detail for a certain large sized hydraulic generator as an example in the paper. Meanwhile each loss is calculated under specific operating conditions, and the test results by calorimetric method are verified. It is proved that calorimetric method of electric engine efficiency test is easy to operate and with high measure accuracy and reliability.
