Blood physiological and biochemical parameters of fish is an important reference to studying fish health, nutrition, reproduction and disease prevention and so on. In this research, we study the blood physiological and biochemical parameters of cultured Miichthys miiuy in Xiangshan Harbor. The results show that no significant difference in blood physiologicals is identified between female and male, except that the number of red blood cell in female is significantly higher than in male (2.58×106 mm-3 and 2.30×106 mm-3 in female and male, respectively). In contrast, the number of white blood cell is 2.36×104 mm-3 in both genders. According to the leucocyte differential count, the percent of lymphocyte is the highest in white blood cell of Miichthys miiuy (70±2.88)%, and the percent of neutrophilic granulocyte is (23.45±2.59)%, and the percent of basophilic granulocyte is the lowest (0.20±0.42)%. In blood biochemicals, the content of lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) is at the highest level (161.4±10.23) U·L-1 and the urea nitrogen is at the lowest level (1.14±0.20) U·L-1. There is no significant difference of blood biochemicals between female and male, except that the content of Ca2+in female is significantly higher than in male.
