The demodulation algorithm used in a digital trunking system made in China is introduced in detail. The Laurent decomposition process of GMSK (Gaussian filtered minimum shift keying) signal is derived in this paper. The conversion pro-cess from the simplified optimal receiver to the single pulse matched-filtering receiver is analyzed emphatically. The performance difference of the demodulation algorithm is compared at different frequencies. The relevant simulation result is given.
