As an unconventional natural gas ,shale gas has become increasingly important in the world energy resources structure .The US is one of the main nations which get great success in shale gas development .The lack of environment protection regulations in the US were intro-duced ,and features of water environment management in shale gas development were analysed , and treating measures for waste water in shale gas development were also reviewed ,which can provide a reference for domestic shale gas development .
