回族移入伊犁的历史已持续百余年，他们行走在新疆与内地之间。他们的迁徙历程见证了中国历史的变迁过程。关于这个群体，移民资料罕见，通过他们的群体记忆，挖掘了大量发生在迁徙路上的“故事”，不仅为探寻这段迁徙路提供了佐证，而且有助于当地回族历史过程的建构。
