The methods for identifying and assessing the bridge lightning risks based on the GB/T 21714 - 2008 series standards are presented and the assessment procedures and contents of lightning risks by taking the Erqi Changjiang River Bridge in Wuhan as an example are introduced. Then, the possible lightning risks and protective measures for Erqi Changjiang River Bridge in Wuhan are comprehensively reviewed.
