数学建模思想能够改善高校教师课堂教学方法和对解决实际问题的探索研究，能够使得数学的教学过程生动形象，形成案例式教学的模式；数学建模思想的运用使得学生不再是只会机械地解数学题、记忆数学公式，而是学会一种分析问题、解决问题的方法，一种特殊的思维模式，从而能够综合使用网络、软件、数学模型知识，解决一些经济社会实际问题。
